About Displaying

Oil paint on unframed canvas is very durable, flexible, and I believe, represents art thinking way outside the old box.

This new frame free unstretched canvas idea allows me to travel, paint, show and ship art everywhere, without the cost and inevitable damage to fragile stretched canvas and to the expensive frames.

This new art idea allows you to buy and transport my original art inexpensively!

There are many options for displaying your new painting:
  1. You may consider your painting a tapestry and easily hang it using 2 or 4 thumbtacks or small nails.
  2. You may decide to buy pre-cut canvas stretchers (available @ hobby, art and craft stores) and staple the canvas to the frame, like other artists do.
  3. My art in this form has been used (wonderfully) to hide the pervasive TV and computer screens that fill our worlds! My paintings have been used to beautify media devises, sometimes using sewn bean bags and other times using two-sided Velcro strips. Commissions are now being discussed in and with dimensions of big flat screens!
  4. The canvas is very easy to roll or flip aside when you wish to use your screens.
  5. Some folks have put their oil painting under glass, a treatment usually reserved for art on paper.
  6. Others have taken their oil painting to “professional” framers. Please be advised there has been some confusion among some framers about art in this form.
